Rock Springs, WY – An accident involving a tractor-trailer Thursday afternoon, April 9, 2025, left one man fatally injured.
As reported by KPVI.com, “Wyoming police are investigating a fatal incident that occurred in the parking lot of a truck stop in Rock Springs yesterday. The incident happened at a [travel center] in Rock Springs at around 5 a.m. The Rock Springs Fire Department and Castle Rock ambulance arrived on scene and performed life saving measures.”
CowboyStateDaily.com is reporting, “[t]he Rock Springs Police Department reports that the employee was directing commercial traffic in [a truck stop] parking lot at about 5 a.m. Sunday when a semitrailer began to move. The employee was pinned between that truck and a second stationary vehicle.”
Sweetwaternow.com is reporting, “[a]ccording to the Sweetwater County Coroner’s Office, Scott Colpitts of Rock Springs [was unable to survive] injuries he received while directing traffic at the truck stop’s commercial parking lot.”
The accident remains under investigation.
