A double shooting at the Wingood Manor apartment complex reportedly claimed the lives of 30-year-old Irving Guy and 22-year-old Joshua Stallworth Friday, August 26, 2016.
According to WMC News 5, the shooting occurred at the “Wingood Manor Apartments…in the 3500 block of the apartment complex just before 11 a.m.” WMC News reports, the victims “leave behind seven children,” including a “6-week-old child.”
Police have not yet identified a suspect or motive in the shooting.

What security measures, such as gated-entry, security patrols and surveillance cameras, were in place to deter crime at the time of the shooting?

Was the apartment complex aware of any prior criminal activity on or near the property? If so, were additional security precautions implemented by the property owner or management to protect residents?
Generally, property owners are required to protect all residents and guests legally on the premises from any foreseeable harm. Should the facts of this matter reveal that the apartment complex owner or management company failed to provide adequate security to protect those on its premises, the families of Mr. Guy and Mr. Stallworth may seek justice and elect to pursue a legal claim for wrongful deaths.
