As reported by KCBD.com, “[a] man was killed in an incident at a Vermont recycling plant over the weekend. Officials said it happened Saturday shortly before noon at [waste management center]. According to officials, 76-year-old Paul Smollin was standing behind his truck and lowering the tailgate to check in when another truck in line accelerated, pinning him between the two trucks.”

MyNBC5.com is reporting, “Smollin was taken by ambulance to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment of a lower leg injury. While there, he had a heart attack and [was sadly unable to survive].”
The Hartford Police Department is now conducting a full investigation into the incident.
