As reported by Fox4News.com, “Arlington police officers responded to a collision at the intersection of Treecrest Drive and the Interstate 20 frontage road just after 2:30 p.m. Feb. 18. Investigators determined a bicyclist was struck by a school bus carrying four students.”
ArlingtonTX.gov is reporting, “[t]he bicyclist, who has been publicly identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as 67-year-old William Roberts, was thrown from his bike and was lying in the roadway. He was transported to an area hospital where he was [sadly unable to survive his injuries].”
According to the report, “[i]nvestigators determined the collision occurred as the school bus was attempting to make a right turn from Treecrest Drive onto the I-20 frontage road and Mr. Roberts approached the intersection cycling eastbound along the I-20 frontage road.”
