As reported by KGW.com, “[s]hortly before 4:30 p.m., officers, along with the Estacada Fire District and AMR, responded to the [a] Dam, located at 30800 Southeast Kilowatt Lane in unincorporated Clackamas County. The accident had occurred during testing equipment at the dam.”

According to the report, “[t]he Estacada Fire District, however, said though a crew found the victim, they had to wait for power to be secured before gaining access, and the person ‘succumbed to injuries’ before the crew could begin life-saving measures.  One…employee was also transported to the hospital; the sheriff’s office gave no further details or about their current condition.”

OregonLive.com is reporting, “[t]he man who died in what authorities are calling a workplace accident at [the] Dam…last week has been publicly identified as 68-year-old Noel Robert Frederick of Eureka, Montana.”

The investigation is ongoing.
