Gunfire erupted early Sunday morning, August 11, 2019 outside an Austin, Texas bar leaving one man dead and two others injured.

According to KVUE.com, “[a]t 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, APD received a shots fired call…[a] Bar parking lot on Lamar Boulevard at Masterson Pass, just north of Rundberg Lane.”

When officers arrived they found three men with gunshot wounds.  

KXAN.com is reporting that an argument “may have started over a girl or alcohol…and it quickly escalated into a physical fight.”

The group was kicked out of the bar when they began throwing chairs and tables.

According to the report, “The fight continued in the parking lot and a security guard came out and shot pepper spray at the brawling groups until they dispersed.”

As the three victims were leaving in their car, a truck pulled up and blocked the victims car and began shooting at the victims, hitting the victims.

As reported by KXAN.com, “Julio Cesar Gamez-Contreras was pronounced dead at the scene after medical personnel tried to revive him with CPR and other life-saving measures.”

The other two men were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas with non life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

Gunfire erupted Tuesday afternoon, August 6, 2019 outside a Winston-Salem, North Carolina restaurant leaving one man dead.

According to WXII12.com, Julius Sampson Jr., 32, was fatally shot after a disturbance took place inside…[a] restaurant that turned into an altercation at about 3:40 p.m….The restaurant is located at 192 Hanes Mall Circle.”.”  

As reported by WFMYnews2.com, “an argument started inside of the business, and the fight spilled out to the parking lot…at some point during the argument, [the suspect] pulled out a handgun and killed [Mr.] Sampson.”  

The suspect has been arrested and was found to be intoxicated when he was arrested, according to the report.

Gunfire rang out at a Huntington, West Virginia bar early Sunday morning, August 4, 2019, leaving one young man dead.

As reported by WCHStv.com, “the shooting happened about 2 a.m. Sunday outside of [a] bar in Huntington.”

According to the report, there was an argument between three people that began inside the bar and continued outside. Two people got into a car and shots were fired and one person in the vehicle was struck.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Herald-Dispatch.com is reporting, “Tyler Zhea Asbury, 19, of Lavalette, was taken off of life support Sunday, succumbing to injuries that occurred from the shooting.”

The investigation is ongoing.
