ELLPORT, PA News – One woman was killed and others injured after a shooting at an Ellport, PA bar early Saturday morning, September 7, 2024.

As reported by NCNewsOnline.com, “[police] were called at 1:57 a.m. Saturday to the bar on Portersville Road in Ellport where [the suspect] had been involved in an altercation with other patrons. He had been escorted out of the business and left in a white GMC Sierra.”

According to the report, “[the suspect] returned to the parking lot a few minutes later and opened fire toward the exterior of the bar with a rifle and a handgun, striking multiple vehicles and penetrating the main entrance door, striking victims inside the business as well.”

WTAE.com is reporting, “Crystal Wawrzynski was pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds and her husband, Jonathan Wawrzynski, sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Joshua Lyons was also struck by gunfire and sustained a serious injury and was transported to a Pittsburgh Hospital. Edward Martin sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot.”

The investigation is ongoing.
