Hamer, SC News – One man is dead after a nightclub parking lot shooting early Wednesday morning, May 13, 2026.

As reported by WFXB.com, “[t]he situation happened in the early morning hours on May 13. Officers were called to [na ightclub] along Highway 301 in the Hamer area of Dillon County on reports of shots fired.”

WPDE.com is reporting, “[u]pon arrival, deputies said they located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound near the [nightclub]. The victim was transported for medical treatment and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The sheriff’s office said the victim was identified as 23-year-old Kim Maurice Rowland Jr. of Dillon.”

According to the report, “[d]eputies said three people were shot, and several vehicles and nearby buildings were hit by gunfire. Investigators recovered more than 80 shell casings from the scene.”

The investigation is ongoing.
