Gunfire erupted Tuesday afternoon, Feb 6, 2024 at an Indianapolis, IN apartment complex leaving one woman dead and two others injured.

As reported by WISHtv.com, “Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called shortly before 4:20 p.m. Tuesday to a person shot to the 5200 block of East 32nd Street.”

Fox59.com is reporting, “[u]pon arrival to the area, an apartment complex on the city’s east side, IMPD said officers located two adult females and an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. IMPD said that all three victims were taken to a local hospital in serious condition.”

According to the report, “[o]ne of the victim died shortly after that. The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified her as 18-year-old Lashelle Rene Hewlett.”

IndyStar.com is reporting, “[i]t’s the third fatal shooting that’s occurred at the apartment complex in the past six months.”

The shooting investigation is ongoing.

One person is dead and two other people were injured after a shooting at an Indianapolis, IN apartment complex early Tuesday morning, April 14, 2020.  

As reported by indystar.com, “[p]olice were called to the shooting about 12:50 a.m. in the 4000 block of Wittfield Street, near East 42nd Street and North Post Road.”

According to the report, “[o]fficers found two teen boys injured by gun shots…[o]ne teen died at the scene and the other was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.”

Fox59.com is reporting, “[a] short time later, officers received a [call from] Community Hospital East. A man who was shot on Wittfield had driven himself to the hospital. Police tell us he is in serious condition.”

The investigation is ongoing.

A man is dead after a shooting at an Indianapolis, Indiana apartment complex Monday morning, February 3, 2020.  

As reported by TheIndyChannel.com, “Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the scene in the 1300 block of Riley Place at the Rowney Terrace Apartments around 10:30 a.m. for a report of a man shot.”

According to the report, “[a]rriving officers found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.”
