A man is dead after a shooting at a Jacksonville, Florida apartment complex Sunday night, January 2, 2022.
As reported by News4Jax.com, the shooting happened “in the parking lot of the Pinewood Pointe Apartments on Kernan Blvd South.”
FirstCoastNews.com is reporting, “JSO officers were called to the 1800 block of Kernan Boulevard South around 10:30 p.m. Sunday for reports of a person shot…[w]hen they arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.”
According to the report, “Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department crews responded and took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.”
ActionNewsJax.com is reporting, “[p]olice believe the man was walking through the complex when he was approached by at least two people who began shooting him.”
The investigation is ongoing.
